Bus Driver 

Position: CDL Bus Driver 

Location: Midland Christian School 

Job Summary: Our CDL bus drivers are responsible for safely transporting students and employees to and from events using a commercial, mid-size, or small bus. While prioritizing safety, our drivers also promote a God-honoring and welcoming atmosphere. When necessary, overnight accommodation and meals are covered. 

Essential Duties: 

• Safely transport students and employees 

• Operate a large passenger bus and people mover 

• Obey traffic laws and maintain a clean, properly functioning bus 

• Perform pre-trip inspections and accurately log mileage 

• Enforce passenger conduct rules 

• Travel throughout the state of Texas 

• Report accidents in a timely manner and in accordance with school policy 

Required Skills and Abilities: 

• Model an active relationship with Jesus Christ 

• Ability to troubleshoot and handle emergencies 

• Manage trip travel to ensure safety and punctuality 

• Read maps or use GPS 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

Physical Requirements: 

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds 

• Arm and hand steadiness, finger dexterity 

Security Disclosure: Background checks are conducted and all MCS drivers are subject to random drug and alcohol screenings. 

Stipend: Day rates and sitting rates are based on experience and will be finalized before being asked to sign an employee agreement.
