Title: Admissions Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator supports Midland Christian School’s admissions process by
assisting with prospective family communication, application workflow management,
campus tours, interview coordination, TEFA documentation, and database accuracy. This
position requires an organized, service-oriented individual who demonstrates
professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to the school’s mission and Christian values.

Lines of Authority:
Reports to the Director of Admissions

Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in administrative, customer service, or office support roles, preferably in an
educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian school.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in admissions, school administration, or related office support roles.
  • Experience working with Blackbaud, student information systems, CRMs, or other online
application/enrollment platforms.

Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to learn new software systems and support families in navigating them.

Working Conditions:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and office equipment,
and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Transportation:
Reliable transportation required.

Essential Functions:
1. Supports the Director of Admissions throughout all stages of the admissions process.
2. Responds promptly to phone calls, emails, and inquiries from prospective families.
3. Assists families in navigating applications, checklists, and the myMCS portal.
4. Provides excellent customer service on campus during school operating hours.
5. Coordinates and schedules campus tours through Blackbaud or designated systems.
6. Conducts tours for prospective families.
8. Supports the scheduling of student interviews through Blackbaud or other platforms.
9. Communicates interview details to families, principals, and staff.
10. Prepares interview materials and organizes candidate files.
11. Maintains accurate application data and records within Blackbaud.
12. Supports data entry, verification, and organization of student information.
13. Assists in preparing admissions reports.
14. Helps track TEFA documentation and program records.
15. Assists families with TEFA steps and requirements.
16. Supports administrative needs related to TEFA compliance.
17. Assists in creating admissions materials and communications.
19. Interacts thoughtfully and professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
20. Maintains high level of confidentiality and adheres to MCS employee policies.
21. Attends staff meetings and trainings.
22. Attends work regularly and punctually.
23. Performs other duties as assigned.
